Jordan McMakin
Jordan McMakin has been a licensed professional Realtor and Real Estate broker for over 30 years. She has been professionally trained in Consultative Sales and Negotiation. Jordan understands houses. She knows while houses have foundations (and walls, and doors, and roofs), they also are foundations providing people and families with a fixed point from which to go out into the world. She is dedicated to helping her clients buy, sell and rent the right houses-and the right foundations-for their lives.
Jordan’s area roots run deep. She was born and raised in Plano, TX, graduated from Plano Senior High School and received her degree from the University of Texas. Since then, Jordan has made her home in Dallas; her children attend area schools and she continues to have professional, family, and community ties throughout the Dallas area.
Since beginning her career in 1992, Jordan has worked for a number of home builders, including David Weekly, Darling Homes and a local company she founded with her husband. As a senior salesperson for Darling Homes, she managed, marketed and sold in 12 master planned communities in Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen and Lewisville. At Darling, she enjoyed a record-breaking career, earning the title of top producer in sales for both volume and profit for all seven of her years there. Jordan later had the opportunity of launching Darling’s new custom home product in Chapel Creek, working alongside architects to develop true custom product for buyers. She left Darling Homes in 2004, after selling more homes than any other custom home salesperson in Frisco, with products ranging in value from $600k to $1 million. During these years, Jordan sharpened her skills and build highly successful practice in one of the fastest growing cities in the nation.
Her real estate experience helped her transition to a role as a Realtor for Ebby Halliday and Keller Williams in Plano and Frisco, before acquiring her broker’s license and starting her own firm.
Client’s at Jordan McMakin Realty can expect to benefit from Jordan’s ability to assess situations from the perspective of the seller, the buyer and when necessary, the builder. She has connections to a number of local architects, designers and tradespeople, and offers assistance and guidance with minor pre-sale repairs and staging as well as post-purchase updates and renovations.
